This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Visserra mobile application, website, and all related services (collectively, the "Service"). Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access or use the Service.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in several ways when you interact with the Service:

a. Information You Provide Directly

  • Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and any profile photograph you choose to upload
  • Search Preferences: Your property preferences, including desired neighborhoods, price range, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, preferred amenities, property type, and lifestyle preferences
  • Communications: Messages you send through the Service, including conversations with real estate agents and our support team
  • Feedback & Interactions: Your property ratings, saved listings, search history, and feedback you provide about properties or the Service

b. Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage Data: Information about how you interact with the Service, including pages visited, features used, listings viewed, search queries, time spent on pages, and navigation patterns
  • Device Information: Device type, operating system and version, unique device identifiers, browser type and version, screen resolution, and language preferences
  • Location Data: With your consent, we may collect precise or approximate location data from your mobile device to provide location-based features such as nearby listings and neighborhood recommendations. You may disable location services at any time through your device settings
  • Log Data: IP address, access times, referring URLs, and other standard server log information

c. Information from Third Parties

  • Authentication Providers: If you choose to sign in using a third-party service (such as Apple Sign In or Google), we receive certain profile information from that provider as permitted by your privacy settings with that provider
  • Analytics Partners: We may receive aggregated, de-identified analytics data from third-party analytics services

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Personalized Recommendations: To power our AI-driven property matching, generate personalized listing recommendations, and compute match scores based on your stated preferences and behavioral patterns
  • Service Delivery: To operate, maintain, and improve the Service, including processing searches, displaying listings, and facilitating communications with agents
  • Analytics & Improvement: To analyze usage trends, measure feature effectiveness, diagnose technical issues, and improve the overall user experience
  • Communications: To send you service-related notifications, updates, security alerts, and support messages. With your consent, we may also send promotional communications about new features, listings, or offers
  • Safety & Security: To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security risks, and technical issues
  • Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or governmental requests

3. Information Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

a. With Real Estate Agents

When you choose to connect with a licensed real estate agent through the Service, we share your name, contact information, and relevant search preferences with that agent to facilitate your inquiry. You control when and with whom you initiate these connections.

b. Service Providers

We may share your information with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf, including cloud hosting, analytics, email delivery, customer support, and payment processing. These service providers are contractually obligated to use your information only as necessary to provide services to us and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

c. Analytics Partners

We may share aggregated, de-identified usage data with analytics partners to help us understand how the Service is used and to improve our offerings. This data cannot reasonably be used to identify you personally.

d. Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to: (i) comply with a legal obligation, court order, or legal process; (ii) protect and defend the rights or property of Visserra Inc.; (iii) prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the Service; (iv) protect the personal safety of users of the Service or the public; or (v) protect against legal liability.

e. Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or other similar event, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email and/or a prominent notice within the Service of any change in ownership or uses of your personal information.

4. Push Notifications & Communications

With your permission, we may send push notifications to your mobile device to provide you with updates about new listings matching your preferences, price changes on saved properties, messages from agents, and other relevant information.

You may opt out of receiving push notifications at any time by adjusting the notification settings on your mobile device or within the Service's settings. Please note that opting out of push notifications may affect your ability to receive timely updates about properties of interest.

You may also manage your email communication preferences by using the unsubscribe link included in our promotional emails or by updating your preferences within the Service. Even if you opt out of promotional communications, we may still send you service-related messages that are necessary for the operation of your account.

5. Data Security

We implement commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical security measures designed to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. These measures include encryption of data in transit and at rest, secure server infrastructure, regular security audits, and access controls.

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for restricting access to your device.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Service. We may also retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and protect our legitimate business interests.

When your information is no longer needed for these purposes, we will delete or de-identify it in accordance with our data retention policies. Aggregated, de-identified data that cannot reasonably be used to identify you may be retained indefinitely for analytical and research purposes.

7. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including:

  • Correction: The right to request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal information
  • Deletion: The right to request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain legal exceptions

  • Opt-Out: The right to opt out of certain types of data processing, including targeted advertising and the sale of personal information (Visserra does not sell personal information)
  • Withdraw Consent: Where processing is based on your consent, the right to withdraw that consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing performed prior to withdrawal

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age of thirteen (13), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

9. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA") and the California Privacy Rights Act ("CPRA") provide you with additional rights regarding your personal information:

  • Right to Know: You have the right to request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources from which we collected it, the business or commercial purpose for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with whom we shared it
  • Right to Delete: You have the right to request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions
  • Right to Correct: You have the right to request correction of inaccurate personal information
  • Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing: Visserra does not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA/CPRA rights

We may use cookies, web beacons, pixel tags, and similar tracking technologies to collect information about your use of the Service and to personalize your experience. These technologies help us understand which features are most popular, count visitors, and improve the Service.
